An effective localization algorithm for moving sources

Abstract By utilizing the time difference of arrival (TDOA), frequency (FDOA), and differential Doppler rate (DDR) measurements from sensors, this paper proposes an effective moving source localization algorithm with closed solutions. Instead employing traditional two-step weighted least squares (WLS) process, Lagrange multiplier technique is employed in first step to obtain initial solution. This solution yields a better than existing because dependence among variables are taken into account. The further refined second step. simulation results verify effectiveness proposed when compared relevant algorithms.
